This painting was created from the view of the sky when I was working outside, in Miami, selling my art. The sky was so beautiful that day, a picture could not suffice. I was primarily inspired to paint it because of the position of the crescent moon with one lone star beneath it. Usually we see the crescent as vertical rather than horizontal.
This image of the moon makes me think of a bowl or a cup, it feels like a warm hug, like one could just lay in the safety and comfort of the moons embrace.
