"Lepidoptera" Abstract 9x12 Textured, Acrylic Painting

"Lepidoptera" was created on a 9"x12" canvas.
The piece started out as an abstract piece full of playful colors, as an homage to the inner child. Soon, out of the piece, blossomed a butterfly.
Abstract paints were used to raise the texture for the outlining of the butterfly. The gold paint was poured in.
Butterflies are a recurring motif in my art. The transformation metaphor will always speak to me, as we are all constantly growing and changing.
